Quebec City is known as one of the most romantic cities in the world. Quebec City is the provincial capital and it is full of history. You will love the streets made of cobblestone and the European flavors filling the atmosphere. The cafes are intimate. You will walk the streets and see horse drawn carriages that take you back in time to a historical era back to the 17th century. Another fun thing about Quebec City is that the locals speak French so if you don’t speak any, be sure you bring your pocket dictionary so you can make it around the town.

One of the most romantic nights you can plan when you go to Quebec City is a night out at Le Saint Amour restaurant for some French cuisine. This will amaze you with the candle light and everyone speaking French is so romantic. After your meal you can stroll the cobblestone streets or even take a carriage ride by horses through the city too. This is amazing and a great way to go site seeing.

Canada is one of the favorite places to go if you are looking for a romantic getaway or a place to plan your honeymoon. There is no reason to head off to the beaches and plan the cliché vacation when you can do something spectacular. You will absolutely love what Quebec City and Niagara Falls have to offer to you and your significant other. In addition, the French speaking atmosphere is very romantic and will set the mood for the two of you.

Considerations When Crossing the Canadian Border

When you cross the Canadian border there are many things to consider about what you need so it is smooth. You don’t want to be stuck and not able to pass through. There are many sites in Canada you might always have dreamed to see but if you don’t have everything you need you will have to turn around and go home or find a way to get the proper documentation.

When you arrive to the border in your car you will need to show proper identification. One of the things you want to keep in mind is that they are very busy and there will be a lot of traffic. The best thing you can do is have your identification ready before you get to the booth. If you are flying on a plane to Canada and you don’t have a passport then you might want to drive. You will not be allowed on the plane. If you have been selected by INS for the Green Card Lottery and you want to visit Canada for the first time you should drive if you don’t have identification.

If you are traveling with children that are not yours because the neighbor child wanted to go for the day or weekend with your family you must have proper identification for the child. Be sure you have a birth certificate and written permission from the parents to be traveling into Canada. You don’t want to be accused of kidnapping a child and trying to take it out of the country.

There are certain things you are allowed or not allowed to bring into Canada. You should be aware of these items so you are not in trouble when you arrive at the border. For instance, you are allowed to travel with candles but you may be restricted on certain hunting rifles and motor boats.

There are many questions you must be prepared to answer when you get to the border of Canada also. The officers will ask you questions like how long you plan on staying in the country, what your purpose of travel is and why you are going there. They may want to know the exact address of the place you are staying at is going to be also. Never joke around with the officers and always have these answers ready.

If you have passengers in the back seat of your car be sure your windows can roll down so the officers can speak to everyone. If you have a van where the windows do not open or roll down they may want everyone to step out of the car.

When you travel to Canada by vehicle you will be required to pass through border patrol. This is required if you want to get into the country. There are many things to consider when you plan a vacation to this amazing country like the proper documentation for everyone traveling with you, what you are bringing into the country, and where you are going.
